NBOMe compounds information
Why compound identity matters
Different NBOMe names identify different compounds. A blotter format or a product sold as “acid” cannot establish which chemical is present.
Sources: DEA — 25I-, 25C- and 25B-NBOMe
Severe toxicity risks
DEA reports serious adverse effects associated with these compounds, including agitation, seizures and cardiovascular toxicity. A severe reaction requires emergency medical care.

Dosage and interactions
This family does not have an established consumer self-treatment dose. Do not transfer assumptions about LSD or one NBOMe compound to another.

What the NBOMe names mean
The 25I, 25B and 25C names identify different compounds, not different spellings of the same ingredient. They are related to particular phenethylamine structures and have been investigated as serotonin-receptor ligands.

NBOMe is not LSD
These compounds have been marketed as other hallucinogens. Blotter paper is a delivery format, not a chemical identifier; artwork or a street name cannot establish which substance is present.

Toxicity and medical assessment
Severe agitation, seizures, overheating and cardiovascular toxicity have been associated with NBOMe compounds. A history of a product sold as acid should therefore be reported as a product description rather than a confirmed LSD exposure.

Family-level versus compound-level evidence
An observation about 25I-NBOMe should identify that compound and the tested material. It does not automatically define every member of a chemical family. The directory retains the family heading while spelling out the important named members.
